Plastic is solid at room temperature, very hard, and cannot be stretched and deformed, but the hardness of rubber is not high, so it is elastic and can be stretched to become longer, and it can return to its original state when it stops stretching. This is mainly because the molecular structures that make up them are different. There is another difference between them. Plastic can be recycled many times, but rubber cannot be recycled directly. It needs to be processed into recycled rubber before it can be used. The shape of plastic at 100 degrees to 200 degrees is very similar to that of rubber at 60 to 100 degrees.
